The Newest Disney Cruise Ship: Disney Wish
The Newest Ship, Disney Wish
What did we love aboard Disney Wish that is different?
- The adult lounges are throughout the ship instead of all in one “district”. This makes for more organic experiences. This allows you to see the different lounges as you are exploring the ship.
- More pools through the ship. Instead of one big pool, there are seven pools onboard between decks 11,13 and 14 and one in the adult area, one in the concierge area. This is a huge plus in our eyes. We love hanging out by the pool and it is always really crowded especially on days at sea. By breaking up the pools, you give families several areas to relax and enjoy.
- Our agency owner enjoyed the enchanting Rose Bar. She feels it is the best bar at sea. Drinks at sunset facing out to the ocean, nothing better. We will be trying it out very soon!
- The slide to the kids club! We have been all very excited about this since we heard. Adults are just big kids right?
- Beyond all the typical incredible spaces for kids, there is Marvel Super Hero Academy, Star Wars Cargo Bay, and dining venues that have shows included for the Marvel and Frozen fans. For those under 3, there is an adorable space that is all themed after It’s A Small World with details only Disney could think up.
- Love your specialty coffee? Disney has heard you. In addition to Cove Café, you can find the Wishing Star Café on Deck 4 (located between Untangled Salon and Hook’s Barbery) or Enchanted Sword, the same location one deck up. Their menu of delicious Turkish Vietnamese and other specialty coffees and fresh juice will have you coming back for more. Bonus, it is usually far less busy than the Cove Café!
- You know we love Midship Detective on the other ships, but Disney has improved that experience with the new Uncharted Adventure. It is an interactive experience that takes classic Disney storytelling to new heights! Join Captain Minnie, Captain Mickey and some of your favorite Disney Characters on a multidimensional search for the magic across storybook worlds, including those of Moana, Nemo, Princess Tiana, Peter Pan and more. Using your mobile device as an “enchanted spyglass,” embark on quests that let you interact with the ship in new and exciting ways. Guests can enjoy this unique activity once testing has been completed. This is something to look forward to and is fun for the whole family.
Disney Wish has more pools and the all-new Aqua Mouse
The Imagineers made sure that the design of the pool deck was for all ages on the Disney Wish. Instead of one big pool, there are seven pools onboard between decks 11,13 and 14 and one in the adult area, one in the concierge area.
The all-new Aqua Mouse is next level! You join Mickey and Minnie on an exhilarating water adventure into a colorful cartoon world inspired by the famous Mickey Mouse animated shorts. Awash in “immersive” show scenes, music, lighting and special effects, this fun-filled water experience invites Disney fans to glide up, down, around and off the side of the ship through 760 feet of twisting tubes—providing breathtaking views of the ocean—before splashing down into a lazy river.
