The Disney Treasure
An IncorvaNelson Review

This ship has some of the best theming in all of the ships. The Haunted Mansion Parlor and Skipper Society are two of the new lounges that were full of little touches all around, but the Triton Lounge is very small and host a lot of the trivia games. Our sailing was very heavy on adults and the trivia games (especially the adult only ones) were always packed.
The Tale of Moana was spectacular. This show is so well done and stunning animation and visuals. The story is beautifully told and actors brought the story to life.

The quick service food on the Disney Treasure is some of the best on the ships. We loved the brisket and the taco bowls were amazing. They also serve you ice cream instead of everyone serving themselves. We had a lot of options for ice cream flavors on our sailing (chocolate, strawberry, blueberry, mango, pineapple, banana, vanilla, and mint).
The mint and chocolate swirl was the BEST!!!

This ship also has some other new features including our favorite new thing: Coriander and Sage. They are a comedian entertainment duo that performed all throughout the week. From adult only shows like Choose Wisely (an Indiana Jones Comedy retelling) to family fun Stories from the Lamp, they had everyone laughing and having a great time.

There are also some new game shows that are found on the Disney Treasure like Villain Game Night, but plenty of the classics like Pirates Life for Me were also onboard.
There are also interactive story adventures with a Jungle Cruise and the Family Madrigal that are a must do also. There was so much to see and do on the ship.
There were also 7:30pm options for adult only activities that on other ships are only typically only offered after 10pm. This was great for families with little ones. Parents could enjoy the adult only fun before their kiddos had to go to sleep.

With the Disney Wish in the main dining rooms, the tables were very close together that it made it difficult for the servers to make it to us. We did not feel that way on the Disney Treasure.
The main dining rooms (1923, World of Marvel and Plaza de Coco) have some menus that you don’t see on the first four ships. Plaza de Coco was by far our favorite. We had the best serving team that we have had yet on any cruise. By the end of the cruise, Chris didn’t even order food. He let our server choose for him.

Like the Disney Wish, there are no midship elevators, but the forward and aft elevators aren’t too far from midship. We don’t miss the midship elevators as they are always the busiest on the other ships.
The Disney Treasure has a lot on Deck 3, 4, and 5 including your main dining restaurants, drop off for Oceaneer’s Club, Edge Club, most lounges, and the theatre. It is very easy to leave dinner and walk to where all the evening entertainment and games are going on.

Chris and Brandy purchased the Rainforest Pass for the spa this trip and it was heaven. It is a much larger area than is available on the classic ships. On the Disney Treasure, there are heated loungers, two hot spas, a cold spa (Frigidarium), and an entire open area with hot tubs, loungers and swinging loungers. We had a lot of relaxing time in the spa!
There was even a “dance” room in the Senses Fitness area that was available for Olivia to practice her choreography for her upcoming show.

We feel like the AquaMouse is superior to the AquaDuck. The AquaMouse loads and unloads from a conveyor belt and is much easier for unloading than in the water like the AquaMouse. Since you load and unload in the same area and the raft doesn’t have to be returned to the top, the line moves a lot faster too.
Chris was even able to watch playoff football on the Funnel Vision!
The youth spaces on this ship are amazing. Avery loved the updates to the Edge (tween hangout) and Olivia was able to enjoy the Hideaway with the 1820 Society. We visited all of the other youth spaces and they were always a lot of fun. The addition of the Hero Zone on the ships has been a great way for families or teens to hangout and play games too.
Will we sail the Disney Treasure again?
Of course.
Even with the things we don’t love, the ship has plenty that we did love!
